You were born of the blood of dragons. Perhaps you were born from an imugi’s egg, with hopes of eventually ascending to true dragonhood. Or rather a lesser dragon like a pixiu now taking mortal form.
Humanoid Form: The natural majesty of dragons bolsters your presence to others. You gain a +1 circumstance bonus to Diplomacy checks.
Yaoguai Form: Your body takes on the hardiness of the imperial dragons. Choose from cold, electricity, fire, mental, or poison when you take this heritage. You gain resistance equal to half your level to that damage type while in yaoguai form.
Prerequisites Born of Dragons Heritage or Born of Elements Heritage
You channel the innate elemental power that surges within you, expelling outward in a 15-foot cone, dealing 1d4 damage. Each creature in the area must attempt a basic saving throw against the higher of your class DC or spell DC. You can’t use this ability again for 1d4 rounds.
At 3rd level and every 2 levels after that, the damage increases by 1d4. If you are Born of Dragons, the damage type and saving throw match those of a draconic benefactor, chosen from between forest, sea, sky, sovereign, and underworld dragons. This activity has the traits associated with the magical tradition of your draconic benefactor and the type of damage the breath deals. If you are Born of Elements, Elemental Fury gains the Primal trait, requires a Reflex saving throw, and the damage dealt is the same type as the cantrip you gained from your heritage.
Prerequisites Born of Dragons Heritage
Your place in the elemental cycle allows you to counter certain elements. You gain the elemental counter cantrip as an Innate Cantrip. Once per day, you can use elemental counter without expending a spell slot. This is treated as expending a spell slot of a rank equal to half your level rounded up, and your counteract modifier is equal to your class DC or spell DC -10, whichever is higher.
Whenever you successfully counteract a spell using elemental counter, you become Quickened 1 for 1 round.
Prerequisite Born of Dragons Heritage
Frequency once per hour
Like a carp ascending a waterfall, you rise above your potential to attack your foe. You Stride up to your speed for every action spent towards an enemy and then make a Strike. If you spend at least two actions, you treat yourself as having a Fly speed or Swim speed equal to your speed until the end of your turn, and can Fly or Swim instead of Striding.
The following are suggested changes to existing feats to account for the addition of the Born of Dragons heritage:
Add Born of Dragons to the prerequisites for Crawling Form
Morphic Strike: talon (agile, magical) 1d6 slashing
Unleash Yaoguai Might: Your draconic nature carries you aloft, granting you a fly speed equal to your land speed.
