Draconic Armor Innovation

Draconic Armor Innovation

When Inventors take their inspiration from the Dragons that live on Golarion, they might be willing to innovate their suits of armor to more closely resemble dragons, wyrmkin, linnorms, and other powerful reptilian creatures. Add the following set of innovation armor statistics and armor modifications to the list of innovation armor statistics and armor modifications which you have access to.

Your innovation is a cutting-edge suit of medium armor with a variety of attached gizmos and devices made to resemble a Dragon. When selecting the Dragon Scale Suit as your Armor Innovation you also need to select a Draconic Exemplar which your suit is based on.

Initial Armor Modifications

Draconic Weaponry (Dragon Scale Suit Only) You designed your armor to include weaponry similar to what real Dragons use be it razor sharp claws, jarred metallic teeth or an artificial segmented tail. You gain your choice of one of the following unarmed attacks. The attack is in the brawling group and has the listed damage die and traits.
  • Claw 1d4 slashing (agile, finesse, unarmed)

  • Jaws 1d6 piercing (forceful, unarmed)

  • Tail 1d6 bludgeoning (sweep, trip, unarmed)

Scale Deployment (Dragon Scale Suit Only) Your armor has been crafted with a special retractable layer of draconic scales which you can deploy at will. When you enter this stance, the scales give you a +1 item bonus to AC and you gain resistance equal to half your level (minimum 1) to the damage type associated with your draconic exemplar chosen when making your armor innovation. When under the effects of Overdrive, you double this resistance. If your draconic exemplar is associated with bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage, instead of gaining resistance to that type you can choose acid, cold, fire, electricity, or sonic.

Breakthrough Armor Modifications

Flying Apparatus You have constructed a specialized apparatus that you've incorporated into your suit inovation, be it a small pair of draconic wings or some jet thrusters.Your apparatus is powerful and capable enough of keeping you aloft for long ammounts of time. You have a fly Speed of 20 feet at all times. When under the effects of Overdrive, this speed increases by 5 feet.

Special Durring daily preparations, the apparatus must be refilled with fuel and prepared for the day's flight, roll an unstable check. On a failure, the apparatus malfunctions and it becomes incapable of being used for more than 10 minutes for the day. On a critical failure, you are unable to get the apparatus to work for more than 1 minute for that day due to a malfunction.

Dragon's Magic Remenant (Dragon Scale Suit Only)You've modified your armor to include a remenant from a Dragon with great attunement to magic. His lingering pressence powers your armor giving you acces to ancestral draconic magic. You gain the initial and advanced domain spells of the Dragon Domain. The tradition of the spells is the same as the tradition of the draconic exemplar selected when building your Dragon Scale Suit. Your spellcasting attribute is Intelligence and your spellcasting DC and profficiency are equal to your class' DC and profficiency.
Domain spells are a type of focus spell. It costs 1 Focus Point to cast a focus spell, and you start with a focus pool of 2 Focus Point. You refill your focus pool during your daily preparations, and you can regain 1 Focus Point by spending 10 minutes using the Refocus activity to pray to your deity or do service toward their causes.Focus spells are automatically heightened to half your level rounded up, much like cantrips.
Focus spells don't require spell slots, and can't be cast using spell slots. Your focus pool can hold one Focus Point for each focus spell you have, up to 3 points.

Revolutionary Armor Modifications

Dragon's Pressence (Dragon Scale Suit Only) Your armor has been modified to resemble the mighty presence of a full fledge Dragon, the bare force of the armor's draconic shape terrifies lesser beings. You gain a 15-foot emanation. All enemies that enter or start their turn in the emanation must attempt a Will save against your class DC. Regardless of the result of the saving throw, the creature is temporarily immune to your Dragon's Presence for 24 hours.

Critical Success The creature is unaffected.
Success The creature is frightened 1.
Failure The creature is frightened 2.
Critical Failure The creature is frightened 3 and fleeing.

Draconic Transformation (Dragon Scale Suit Only) You modified your armor so that it can take the shape of a mechanical dragon. You can cast dragon form as an 6th-rank innate spell once per day. This spell has the same tradition as your draconic exemplar. When you cast this innate spell, you must transform into your draconic exemplar, gain the construct trait and use your class DC instead of your spell DC.

Special When you cast the spell for the first time of the day you can choose to add the unstable trait to it, gaining the following check results.
Critical Success You upcast the spell as a 8th-rank Dragon Form spell, you also don't expend the spell and are able to cast it once more for the day
Success Same as Critical Success but you don't upcast the spell
Failure You cast the spell but it's effects are lost
Critical Failure Same as failure but you also take an amount of fire damage equal to your level.

Prequisite Armor Innovation, Dragon Scale Suit

You've added a gizmo capable of replicating a dragon's breath, while equipping your armor innovation you can use the device to blast a torrent of energy in a 15-foot cone or a 30-foot line, dealing 1d4 damage. Each creature in the area must attempt a basic saving throw against your class DC.
At 3rd level and every 2 levels thereafter, the damage increases by 1d4. The shape of the breath, the damage type, and the saving throw match those of your armors' draconic exemplar. This ability has the trait associated with the type of damage it deals.

Prequisite Wing Flying Apparatus

The construction of your wing shaped Flying Apparatus is so sturdy and resilient that you could use it to protect yourself from attacks. You can use an interact action to turn your wings into a shield that covers nearly the entire body without needing to be held in a hand but you loose the flying speed granted by the Flying Apparatus untill you use an interact action to turn them back. If the shield would take enough damage to be destroyed the wings remain on 1 HP and lose all functionality untill they are repaired. When you take this feat you can engrave reinforcing runes into your wings.

AC Bonus Hardness HP BT
+2 6 36 12

Special When you use an interact action to turn your wings into a shield you gain a +2 to saving throws against spells that target you until the start of your next turn.
