Linnorm Bloodline

Linnorm

An ancestor of yours slew a linnorm and was afflicted with its curse. Despite this, they managed to pass down the touch of those primordial dragons, granting aptitude with curses and the vengeful side of the elements.

Blood Magic–Seething Curse Primeval power boils the air around you. You gain a +1 status bonus to Intimidation checks until the end of your turn. If you don’t make an Intimidation check in that time, the elements remain to defend you: you deal 1 persistent damage per spell rank (basic Reflex save) to the first creature that deals damage to you before the start of your next turn; this damage is listed under your Linnorm Exemplar.

Bloodline Spells

Erupting Breath aa

Focus 1

uncommonconcentratefocusmanipulatesorcerer

Area 15-foot cone
Defense basic Reflex
Duration 1 round

You breathe a cone of latent energy to coat the ground in front of you. Each square in the area becomes hazardous terrain, dealing 1 damage to a creature each time it enters an affected square. At the start of your next turn, the affected area erupts in a maelstrom of elemental power, dealing 1d6 damage to each creature in the area with a basic Reflex save.

The damage of the hazardous terrain and the eruption is of the type listed under your Linnorm Exemplar. Erupting Breath gains the trait associated with that damage type.

Heightened (+1) The damage of the hazardous terrain increases by 1, and the damage of the eruption increases by 1d6.

Primordial Rush a

Focus 3

uncommonconcentratefocussorcerer

The types of creatures that thrive in the First World must be adapted to move fiercely—if not gracefully—in a variety of environments. As a part of Casting this Spell, you can use a Stride, Climb, Swim, or Fly action. Treat each action as if you had a relevant movement speed equal to your land Speed with a +10-foot status bonus. If you Fly, you must end your movement on a solid surface or immediately fall.

While moving, you gain resistance equal to your level to all damage except cold iron dealt by reactions to your movement.

Vengeful Venom aa

Focus 5

uncommonconcentratefocusmanipulatepoisonsorcerer

Range touch
Target 1 creature
Defense Fortitude

Whether chosen with cold deliberation or a victim of your retaliatory urges, your target feels the elements rage against them from the inside out. You afflict the targeted creature with linnorm venom.

Critical Success The target is unaffected.
Success The target takes 3d6 damage.
Failure The target is afflicted with linnorm venom at stage 1.
Critical Failure The target is afflicted with linnorm venom at stage 2.

This spell may be cast as a reaction with the trigger “You take damage that would reduce you to 0 Hit Points.” If you cast vengeful venom this way, it can be cast on a target beyond the usual range, and the target treats the result of their save as one degree of success worse. The target must be the creature that dealt you the triggering damage.

Linnorm Venom (poison) Level 5; Maximum Duration 10 rounds; Stage 1 3d6 damage and drained 1 (1 round); Stage 2 5d6 damage and drained 2 (1 round)

The damage dealt by this spell and its affliction is of the type listed under your Draconic Exemplar. Vengeful venom and the linnorm venom affliction gain the trait associated with that damage type.
