Introduction

Welcome to Tourney of the Tatzelwyrm, presented by Team+!

The Tourney of the Tatzelwyrm is a contest similar to Roll for Combat’s RPG Superstar that aims to get those new to publishing homebrew experience in creating Pathfinder Second Edition Remaster content. For those who are more experienced, fret not, there is a category, the Professional Category, for you as well! To enter, you will create an entry with Pathfinder Second Edition Remaster rules that is thematically connected with dragons.

To enter, you will need to design a compelling entry for use with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Second Edition Remaster using guidelines and existing content from Player Core 1 and 2, GM Core, and Monster Core 1 and 2. You may also expand existing content from Paizo or Team+, as long as the content is Remaster material.

The theme is Draconic Options, meaning that to win, your entry must have a thematic connection to dragons in the Lost Omens setting. For example, you may choose to build an archetype based on conspirator dragons, or a heritage relating to an ancestry that lives near an archdragon. OGL content, such as gold dragons, is not allowed.

The following are legal submissions for the contest:

  • Animal/Construct/Follower/Undead Companions
  • Archetypes
  • Class Archetypes
  • Class Feats
  • Eidolons
  • Expansions to existing Ancestries or Heritages
  • Familiars
  • Hazards
  • Items
  • Ion expansions(Team+) that have already been created, ions for classes not yet covered by Team+ are INVALID
  • Monsters, Monster templates, or alternate abilities for monsters
  • Mythic Callings, Feats, and Destinies
  • New Heritages
  • Rituals
  • Spells (Including Aspects from Magic+)
  • Subclasses

Entries must be submitted through the Team+ website.

The first round of voting on all submitted entries will be performed by the public. During public voting, anyone registered on Team+’s website can vote up to once per entry to help determine the top entries. The top entries will be announced to the public.

Once the top entries are announced, private Tourney of the Tatzelwyrm Judges voting will begin. The Tourney of the Tatzelwyrm Judges will determine the final winners.

The exact dates will be announced in a future blog post, as the web side of things is still currently being developed.

Entry Requirements

Submissions should be between 500-1500 words long, including flavor text, lore, and if applicable, sidebars. If you have a smaller entry, such as an item or a feat, consider creating a few connected entries that all fit the theme. You can include a brief extra description of the appearance of your entry in the “art direction” section of the entry. This does NOT count against your 500-1500 word count limit and are simply used to better describe the appearance of your entry

The entire submission, including the name and all text within the stat block, must not be fewer than 500 words or exceed 1500 words. If you have a submission where a single entry is unlikely to be at least 500 words, like items or feats, consider creating a few that are connected.  The “art direction” section does not count against your submission word count limit. The submission form includes a live preview to view what your entry will look like, and will give you a total word count for your entry.
