The Tourney of the Tatzelwyrm!

Hey everyone, Jelly, Otmi, and Dom here. Last stream, Tony and Derry teased a contest called Tourney of the Tatzelwyrm. We’re pleased to announce the competition now, along with some frequently asked questions!

The Tourney of the Tatzelwyrm is a contest similar to Roll for Combat’s RPG Superstar that aims to get those new to publishing homebrew experience in creating Pathfinder Second Edition Remaster content. For those who are more experienced, fret not, there is a category for you as well! To enter, you will create an entry with Pathfinder Second Edition Remaster rules that is thematically connected with dragons.

Submitted entries are first voted by the public on the website. The top entries then move to the judges, where they will select the winning entries, which will feature in a Team+ book.

The rules are linked here.

We’re waiting on some site updates before we give official dates, but feel free to start creating and share this event with anyone who may be interested!

Should we share what we’re working on so we don’t step on one another’s toes?
You should not share your ideas or content on a public forum, server, or social media, doing so can lead to disqualification.

Will it be one submission per person, or can we do multiple?
You may only submit one submission per person.

Will the tourney only have 1 round, or will there be multiple?
There are two rounds, one that is a public vote on the Team+ website where people log in and rate entries. The top entries move onto round two, where specific judges then rate with the same criteria as the first round.

How many winners?
There are 15 winners in the general category, and the top 4 of those get art. The professional category has 5 winners. The 1st place winners of both categories get their content’s art on the cover!

When will the tourney start? And when will it end?
We are working on further details!

Is this Pathfinder only? Or Starfinder too?
Pathfinder Second Edition Remaster only for this contest.

Do contest entries have to be submitted by individuals only?
You must submit under one name.

What stuff is disallowed (apart from plagiarism)?
Please keep in mind Pathfinder Infinite’s content guidelines in addition to the rules in the blog post.

Are the entries supposed to be text only, or can/should we include art assets allowed by the infinite license?
Submit text only. Images will not be considered for judging.

Are we allowed to submit homebrew content we’ve made previously?
You are allowed to submit previously made homebrew content if it follows the contest criteria, as long as it has not been published publicly before on infinite or another site.

What is the professional and general category?
While the purpose of this contest is to allow those new to publishing to gain experience, we acknowledge that many Team+ fans are already published and still wish to compete. The professional category is meant for those people. If you are NOT a judge, have been published in more than one hardcover book (such as a Pathfinder Rulebook, Lost Omens, or Battlezoo’s books), or work as a Team+ contractor, you submit to the general category.
